Privacy Policy
Whispr Speak is a locally-running Windows desktop application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (very little), what we do with it (nothing personal), and what rights you have. Please read it — it is short because there is genuinely not much to say.
1. Who We Are
Whispr Speak is a software product. For any privacy-related questions you can contact us at: support@whisprspeak.com.
2. What We Do Not Collect
Whispr Speak processes all voice input entirely on your device. We do not:
- Record, transmit, or store your voice or audio data anywhere.
- Collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
- Require you to create an account or sign in.
- Track your usage, keystrokes, or transcription content.
- Send any telemetry or analytics from the app itself.
Your voice stays on your computer. Always.
3. Purchase & Payment (Gumroad)
Purchases of Whispr Speak are processed through Gumroad, a third-party payment platform. When you buy through Gumroad, Gumroad collects the information necessary to complete your transaction (such as your email address and payment details). This data is handled entirely by Gumroad under their own privacy policy, which you can read at gumroad.com/privacy.
We receive only a notification that a purchase was made and a licence key is issued. We do not receive or store your payment details.
4. Website Analytics
Our marketing website (the page you came from) may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many visitors we receive and which pages are most popular. This data is aggregated and anonymous — no individual visitor is identified, tracked across sites, or profiled.
5. Cookies
Our website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Any cookies set are strictly functional (for example, to remember a language preference) and are not used to build advertising profiles or share data with third parties.
6. Children
Whispr Speak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Since we collect almost no data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
8. Refund Policy
We stand behind Whispr Speak. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 7 days of your purchase date.
Refunds are considered for genuine reasons at our discretion. To request one, email us at support@whisprspeak.com with your Gumroad purchase receipt and a brief explanation of your reason. If we determine your request is valid, we will process the refund promptly through Gumroad.
Please note: because Whispr Speak is a downloadable application that runs locally on your device, we are unable to remotely revoke or disable the software after purchase. By requesting a refund, you agree to stop using the application.
Refund requests received after 7 days of purchase will not be accepted except in cases of verified technical failure that we were unable to resolve.
