Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Whispr Speak ("the Software"). By downloading or using Whispr Speak, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Software.
1. The Licence
When you purchase Whispr Speak, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime licence to install and use the Software on your own Windows devices. This is a one-time purchase — there are no recurring fees or subscriptions.
Your licence covers:
- Installation on up to 2 personal Windows computers that you own.
- All future updates released for the version you purchased.
- Offline use with no internet connection required after installation.
2. What You May Not Do
- Resell, sublicence, rent, or redistribute the Software or your licence key.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Software.
- Share your licence key publicly or with others.
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose.
3. Purchases & Refunds
All purchases are processed through Gumroad. By completing a purchase you also agree to Gumroad's Terms of Service at gumroad.com/terms.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Whispr Speak does not work on your system and we are unable to resolve the issue, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Refund requests after 30 days are handled at our discretion.
4. No Account Required
Whispr Speak does not require you to create an account, sign in with any service, or provide any personal information to use the Software. A valid licence key — delivered via Gumroad to your email address — is all that is needed.
5. Privacy
All voice processing happens locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your voice data or transcriptions. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Whispr Speak is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate for all accents, languages, or use cases. Speech recognition accuracy depends on microphone quality, background noise, and your speaking style.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.
8. Updates & Continuity
We intend to maintain and update Whispr Speak for the foreseeable future. However, we do not guarantee the availability of future updates. Because the Software runs entirely offline, your existing installation will continue to function regardless of our operational status.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
